At Normal Temperature
Storage
Avoid moisture, light, and oxygen as much as possible.
Frequently moving the matcha between room temperature and refrigerated/frozen storage after opening can cause condensation, which leads to moisture absorption and deterioration.
Shelf Life & Freshness
When stored at room temperature: about 1 year unopened.
Once opened, it’s best to use within 1 month.
Over time, the color fades to yellowish and the aroma dissipates easily.
Freezer storage can also help maintain freshness.
Handling (Preparation & Serving)
The ideal water temperature is 70–80°C.
If too hot, bitterness increases; if too cold, the matcha doesn’t dissolve well.
For frothing, use a bamboo whisk (chasen) or a milk frother to incorporate air effectively.

Important Care & Usage:
- Temperature Limits: Safe up to 60°C (140°F). Ideal for iced coffee, juice, room-temperature water, and lukewarm drinks.
- No Boiling Water: Do not pour boiling water (100°C) or freshly brewed hot tea (80°C–90°C+) directly inside. Extreme heat may cause warping, cracking, or clouding. Cool hot liquids below 60°C before filling.
- Hand Wash Only: Never use in a microwave or dishwasher. Heat from these appliances can melt, deform, or damage the plastic. Hand washing is strongly recommended to preserve quality and longevity.
